You do not need to change any of the electronic part of the ignition at all. You just need to get hold of a complete new lock set (ignition, 2 x door and a boot lock) which comes with new keys. You just then transfer the transmitter part from your old keys into the new ones. The entire lock set is not as expensive as you would think either (under £200 if I remember).

PM Chris Shipley for a price :)

you dont even need to do that andy! you CAN order just a new ignition lock barrel assy - it will cost about £80 ( this will be matched to your existing keys) and it takes 30 mins to fit- start to finish.

The lock is purly mechanical, there is no chip in the lock - to get the barrel cut to accept your existing keys will take about 10 from the initial order.

Trust me on this one as i very nearly went down this route but ended up getting a new lock set as i had some time restrictions.
