MK3 GS300 brake pads & disks advice needed

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

I had the gs300 serviced today at jem lexus. They advised me that my brake pads will need changing in the next 2k miles and that my disks had a slight lip on them. So I'm guessing both disks and pads will need changing. What are my options. Shall I get main dealer parts or is there another option that's worth while. Please advise as I'll need to pick them up soon.

Regards Mal.

Hello and welcome to the LOC.

If you want to go the OEM route then have a look at the link below, Lexus Birmingham have some good offers on and it may be worth giving them a call to see if a direct deal would reduce the price further ( bypass Ebay  )

Delivered to your door too.

You could also go with after market parts but I would imagine there would be little difference in price from the likes of Blueprint plus some other pad brands have squeal problems and excessive dust.

Hi Steve,

thanks for your reply and advice. I gave them a call but the parts guy is away until Monday. I think I may just go the OEM route. I'll have a chat with him Monday to see about the bypass
