Hi guys getting back to USB connection again, I did use two pins to open dvd slot, got no USB connection but only cd slot. I'm assuming it's used to update sat nav using cd.

Yep, you buy the new disc and slot it in.

It should do a firmware update as well the first time you load it.

discription says mark levenson but it isn't.  The connections look very different. So there is a possibility we can say ML system might not swap easily with non ML.

Do you have to buy from  lexus main dealer or can you buy aftermarket.

That unit is from a diesel, plus as pointed out its not ML.

True, but I suspect that even a ML facelift sat nav would have similar connectors, which are completely different from the older navigation systems.

Can just about make out a part number is anyone is interested.  Although at this point I think it is more a curiosity rather than a practical preposition.

Like I said, it was just a image I found in passing that I thought people might find interesting.  Wasn't trying to prove anything, so it doesn't matter if it is from a diesel, non-ML, etc...

don't want to be obnoxious but it doesn't have ML branding and its for a diesel model so wont do a petrol. Just saying...

Perhaps new facelift ML sat navs are the same as that, I cannot say but mine is entirely different.
