Hi I have an 03 ls430 there is a pipe that delivers air to the rear suspension it runs from the comp to a valve at the rear of the car and then splits to each wheel, this pipe is badly corroded in one small area and costs about £200 to buy and according to Lexus takes a little over a day to fit so labour is going to be mega bucks, has anybody come across this if so is there a quick fix or does it have to be replaced front to back.

                  Thanks up front Eric

If the area where the corrosion is easily accessible you may be able to find a local company which deals with commercial air compressor installations who will probably have the correct unions and pipe to replace just that section which your own mechanic should be able to fit (similar to brake pipe fitting).

Then get some thick grease on the remaining pipework to ward of further corrosion problems

Thanks for the reply Steve but the corrosion is right at the end near the valve and I don't think there is enough room to get any fitting on the pipe and without further investigation don't know if the factory fitting can be taken off the pipe and re-used, hey the fun of owning a lexus.

       Thanks again Eric
