GS: Gadgets

Recommended Posts

What electrical gadgets do you guys fit?

Either for tuning or for asthetic purposes.

Be it chipping, piggyback ECUs, EGT guages or electroluminescent dial kits etc etc?

I'm asking as I run a small electronics and tuning company and have made electronic tuning gear for other Jap vehicles so wondered if I could help with cheaper products for the GS or any Lexus?

This may include other bits like clear lenses. (well round ones anyway.)

Thanks

Pete

i remeber someone wanted a bleep adding to his alarm on/off action.....on the is200 all you get is the indicator flash

and as ive already spoke to you about ....the fogs as brake lights, but switchable back to fog

for me personally other than the fogs.......auto up/down passenger window

Yeah, but converting the mp3 files to cda files, you are back to being able to only fit 20ish tracks on a disc. The benefit of a dedicated car mp3 player is being able to play discs that hold hours and hours of music

Rodders_UK, does your car have a CD player? If so, then you already have a decent mp3 player. If your PC has a CD-R drive then you can record mp3's to a CD-R disk and the CD player will play it. In my IS200 I have 6 disk cd player filled with my collection of mp3's. You will need something like Nero Burning CD ROM s/w to write the mp3's to the CD-R. This converts the mp3 to a format suitable to play on a CD player. If you want further info, just ask.

As for suggestions on what electronic gismo to fit to the car, I would suggest a babe magnet.

GRiM - are you recording MP3 format onto CD and it's playing in your car??

What bitrate are you using to rip??

What ISO setting do you need for Nero in order to record these so that they will work. I've got a DVD player here that will read them, but the car doesn't so far.

Cheers

I have a 40 gig hard drive in my player, with about 7 gig used - I have about 100 CD's on there! I usually rip at 128 bits, but even at 192 bits, I can't see you filling the disk up. 128 bits is CD quality and it's hard to tell the difference between MP3 and CD, especially whilst driving. You get Artist, Album and Track information, too.

Oh, and I have no financial interest in these players, but as the first 'consumer' of them in the UK, I would like to see them take off.
