Timing belt question

I am looking at a 2001 GS300 with full service history and 100,000 miles.

There is no record of the timing belt being changed. I read somewhere recently that the interval for changing the belt on a gs300 was 65,000 miles and on a GS430 it is 100,000 but in the service book it states that the interval for both the 300 and 430 is 100,000. Anyone know which is correct.

I think I would get it done anyway so any idea on an average price?

The car is going to live in Spain and I have sourced some LHD headlights for around £350.00 a pair. That seems pretty good to me but I have never had LED lights before. How do they compare with halogen?

Thanks

Dave

If it has a FSH and no belt change is indicated, then possibly it has not been changed. That said, check the engine bay to see if there's a sticker saying when it was done and at what mileage. If it does need doing then probably best doing the pump at the same time. Iirc belt should be done at 100,000.

I had belt and pump done on my 430, but afraid I cannot recall the price (maybe around £500 ish, not really sure).

Can't help with the rest.
