Hi all

Hope someone could shed some light on a problem I had Last week

I pulled up into Tesco car park in front of a 15 reg Mercedes that had pulled in  just  before me  the lady got out locked her car  I got out got bags out of boot and locked mine but it didnt Lock i thought strange tried pressing door button still no joy I then got back in thinking something a miss but no so I tried starting it dash said Hold key to button to start, symptom of low fob Battery but i changed Battery in march, so  car started and i moved it to another parking spot and all was ok never done it since

Do mercedes have some key perimeter device because it must have been because i was parked near the car

Hope someone could shed some light on it

hi Zotto

Thanks for the speedy reply

No i had my keyfob on me  and i had parked at the side of the merc

and it seemed that the locking sequence of the merc must have somehow affected mine as soon as i got away from it all was normal I have never heard of this happening before

Or maybe someone was trying to steal/rob the car and was jamming all the key fobs in the area.

most people's don't check if car is locked after pressing the button on the fob.
