Tapping/loud knocking on rear end

Hi guys. New to this and recently got my first Lexus. Yay. 

I keep getting a knocking/tapping sound (quite loud) at the rear end and this only happens over lumps n bumps. 

I know I need new rear calipers and the sound goes away when I press the brake pedal. 

Am I right in thinking this is the problem? I've read other problems about shocks etc but double checking as it only happens when brake is depressed.

I had the same issue front end on my is200 turned out to be the sliders on the calipers I would check that first

Hi mate. Thank you so much for the fast reply. 

Yeah it's a is200 sport. And it's been to the garage once for rear bushes. They put tie wraps around the calipers and said the pads (I think) was sliding out hence new calipers. 

Just wanted to check it was defo those before I went ahead although they need doing.

All I did to repair mine was freed of and greased the sliders was a free job and has bin good for a few weeks now isn't a full time repair but may get u by for a while
