I own a 2004 Lexus RX330 and need to replace the taillight assembly. I have the new assembly, but can't figure out how to get to the bolts to remove the old assembly. I know there are three bolts that need to be remove and can't get to them

Hello Bernie and welcome to the LOC,

You normally have to remove the carpet trim to access the rear of the cluster as it does bolt in from behind.

I have the exploded diagram but it only shows the position of the nuts which are fairly obvious as you have a new cluster to refer to.

This may help

Thanks, but it looks like I have to Remove the side panels in order to get to the 3 bolts that hold the taillight assembly in place. I have pulled on them, but they won't come out, but a few inches.  I am afraid that if I pull to hard, they will break.  I did remove the lower screw at the rear and the screw used to hold the trunk cover assemble.  Does anyone have a clue how to remove the side panels without breaking them.
