2000 GS300 Transmission problems

Hello,mates !
Bought my Lexus 2 weeks ago,and It's my first automatic car.Since then,I've noticed that the car skips 2nd gear and goes directly into third.PWR button also does not seem to do anything (it works in snow mode though).I did the self-diagnostics,but the car didn't show any fault codes. Also, the PWR light didn't light up when I did the diagnostics.
Any solution to that ? Is there a way I can run self-diagnostics on the transmission ECU ? Or should I just clean the solenoids.
BTW,previous owner changed the fluid 3k km's ago.

A little update:
Checked transmission fluid today. It was a lot higher than the max level on HOT scale.I'm draining it tomorrow,to fix the fluid level.
I wonder if that will fix the problem.
