K&N filter help

Hi, so I have got a Is250 SE 2007. Only recently bought it, I have just installed a K&N cold air intake kit today after hearing what numerous opinions about it. My son also has one in his Vauxhall Astra 1.6 and its does give quite a sporty sound to it, which kind of the reason why I ended up getting it. Anyway, so I have installed it and after watching many YouTube videos had some sort of a idea of what it would sound like. What I found is there is not any sort of induction noise, even when you tap the accelerator. The only time I hear a difference is when I go into the high revs. In comparison to my sons Astra, he has a very sporty sound throughout the rev range and also has quite a big suction noise just by tapping the accelerator. My question is what could I do to improve it or is there something else I need to do/add etc?
