How to scan for stations on DAB

Recommended Posts

I've recently got a 2014 GS300h and I'm trying to learn my way around the "infotainment" system. Not helped by the mouse which I'm really struggling with...

Anyway, on the DAB radio, how do I scan for stations? There's only the main BBC stations in there. Nothing like Absolute, Heart, Smooth, Talksport and what have you.

How do I got about finding those stations?

Switch in channels list in window (tile up un the left), NOT preset stations, and then press arrow up or down for more than 2 seconds to change channel (frequency) , for every channel there are many Dab station in list. If yoy like a particular station switch back to preset stations windows, move on one of the six selections and thenkeep pressed the mouse for some seconds till the new station is written in position.

Thanks, Zotto. I've been messing about with it for ages. I still don't quite get it.

Why didn't they just put a "scan" button, and then it finds all the available radio stations? That's the way all the DAB radios in my house work. It's very confusing

Actually the scan button is the arrow on steering wheel, the problem is that for each frequency (channel) there are many stations, but if you keep the channel you already have the stations list. Maybe they have thought that keeping a single stations list gives too many results, difficult to browse while driving, so the idea to make a single favourite list with only 6 choices.
