Audible alarm but no error messages

Any thoughts on this one. I have an intermittent alarm going off but no dashboard warning lights. By intermittent I mean I can get two or three beeps, or even part of a beep. It only started after a long drive in the snow this week, and only happens below 3 degrees. Is the external temperature sensor manfunctioning? Where is it located?

I jet washed the car quickly to get salt off, could the sensor have got water damaged?

Take a look through the lower grill at the front .... The one below the number plate. If you look on the rhs,it's just below the front impact beam. It hangs down into the air flow by about 2" or so. Could have got a plug of snow on it perhaps?

I have an intermittent alarm when sensor at the front are wet. I blow them out with air and clears them for a while. Been like that for 18 months.

Sorry, do you mean temperature sensor? My problem has stopped are a 3 hour drive in the dry. Happily
