Caliper - optimal grease

Dear fellow owners,

I am in the process of replacing the brake calipers on a '06 IS250 as I wanted to get rid of the seizing-recall-affected parts.

After checking numerous forum entries, TS bulletins, I got confused about the correct greases to be used. i would prefer using Lexus/Toyota greases.

This is what I found:

1, For lubricating the slider pins, seals etc.:

- Toyota 08887-01206 / 08887-83010 Rubber Grease (this has been mentioned in a lot of documents, reviews and also in the early manual)

   OR

- Toyota 00289-1WG00 White Grease (Technical Support Bulletin of the recall)

2, To use as an anti-squeal grease on the shims and as lubricant on the contacting surfaces between the pad and the pad support plates.:

- Toyota 08887-80609 Brake Caliper Grease (Toyota Ireland)

Is it safe to assume that this combination will work fine?

Thank you for your help in advance.

Hi ,this subject has been debated many times  the products you have listed will perform fine ; if you have problems locating or purchasing them I would recommend the following alternatives which I have used for many years without issue

1 Slider pins/rubber etc   Locktite super lube synthetic grease  buy in a tube off the net

2 Anti squeal  The old favourite  anti seize copper grease or the non metallic Cera Tec  the one I use has Textar on the tube but Mintex also sell one . Make sure the rubber bellows are replaced properly to ensure water cannot enter .
