12v Battery

Recommended Posts

Picking you clever peoples brains again please.

This morning just for the hell of it I decided to put a multimeter across my Battery terminals to see what the reading was.  The car has been standing on the driveway since 1pm on Tuesday lunchtime, some 40+ hours.  The reading that I got was 11.72v is this normal or could it do with a bit of a trickle charge to get it back up to 12v.

It will shortly be collected by the dealership driver and so it will probably get boosted by the 12 mile run into Exeter and so this might be enough eh!

The car is going in today for the wheel refurb mentioned in another thread.  I have also asked them to quote for the scuff, it will be interesting to see their figure!

Thanks again folks.

As said in the hybrid the 12v Battery only powers the entry system and computers until the hybrid system starts, then it is recharged from the hybrid batteries. Unlocking the car etc and checking the voltage will put a drain on the 12v Battery.
