WOW, thats going some, only 4 sets of tyres, the article doesn't mention any other problems he has had over the past 3 years.

American tyres must be a harder compound as they always seem to get double or triple the mileage we seem to get. That's even considering they possibly have more straight runs rather than our classic B roads. 

That kind of mileage is quite reassuring and shows the CT is in line with the Prius. Probably less likely to have people doing that kind of mileage here as diesel is more prevalent. I've always though the CT makes an excellent mileage muncher, just a shame about the relatively short and expensive service intervals.
