VIN number

Each time I ask a dealer to give me VIN number of a car so I can check the specs... they reply saying do hpi check and it should give it... But hpi check doesn't... What are they on about?

Maybe they don't know themselves... Some of car check pages like Total car check (similar to HPI) does give you the VIN number, probably people simply calls any page which gives vehicle history as "HPI" event though they are not called that.

Best to use the phone one, for £3.00 gives every detail about the vehicle you are looking at instantly.

Is there any way to find VIN for a car without paying? Already purchased 30 pound HPI check proved useless.

It advertises on the tv i have used before my mate just done one on car he just acquired. I have asked him for the number, when i get it i will let you know.

You text the req to the number, get all the information on the vehicle its amazing.

Go on your phone put in phone car check first listing . Shows what you want. Text reg 78888 that gives vin number.

I logged onto Lexus.UK registered my car ,entered my reg "assuming the car has been re registered" it gave me Vin No. , spec  , options factory fitted. Free

oh! and recalls missed , mine has to go in for an air bag recall passenger side.
