Before I start I have spent quite a few hours looking and reading posts, but most are old and photos no longer available and also many post were pre having 3rd party harnesses available, I’d prefer to avoid cutting and splicing
ive removed the 6cd changer, got the new fascia, got a stereo, got everything I thought I needed and built and framed it etc, went to plug it in and no go.
the plugs that are quoted and in the set I bought have 2 separate connections but only 1 come out of the back of the CD player and are all different shapes. I have read I may need to access the amp wiring but it’s pretty tight around the amp so will wait before having to remove if required
photos, CD player back, cable plugs into right side socket then I assume through the dash behind the glove box to the amp, and other photo is the adapter kit I got which is the same as Halfords etc for a Lexus/Toyota loom
does anyone have any guidance please?
Hi all, im new to this forum and am a proud new lexus is200 owner. I recently decided to remove the factory stereo and install an aftermarket double din stereo, upon completing the installation i noticed the satnav screen is gone blank and will just go crazy whenever the ignition is turned over the screen just flips up and down. I searched the internet for a solution and came across one post which was a guy selling a device on ebay what tricks the car into thinking the factory stereo is still there however he has no longer got any devices left and doesnt sell them. Does anyone know any other way to get it working again? Any help will be highly appreciated. Thanks
Hi fellow enthusiasts, I just ripped my spare unit. I am going to change some bulbs and LED lamps. I am wondering if someone can help me out here and confirm. I want to leave it as original as possible, new bulbs LEDs for old ones that is.
I did some research and found out:
Radio LCD back light IL901 + IL902 = micro lamp 2x (8V / 0,1A / 0,8W) - soldered - bulb head is about 4mm x 9mm - clear with green rubber cap
that would be the same micro bulb as in a
GS430 - 2000 - Radio LCD back light IL951 + IL952 = micro lamp (8V 100mA)
Radio "key board" back light for the buttons = micro lamp 14x (8V / 0,06A / 0,5W) - soldered - bulb head is about 3mm x 5mm - clear with green rubber cap
The 2 bulbs for the Radio LCD back light I've already soldered out.
I did not know until now that the on/off button has its own micro bulb - must be getting real hot in there because in both units I have that same micro bulb is shot.
AC / Heater control LCD
55900B BULB, AIR CONDITIONER CONTROL....LCD back light!
OEM number: 84999-60450 (12V / 1.2W / 0,1A / 1/4 socket / 5mmx10mm- 3x - LCD screen - back light
OEM number: 84999-60460 (14V / 1.82W / 0,13A / 1/4 socket / 4mmx09mm- 5x - AC control buttons - back light
AC/Heater - key board - control lights for the buttons - clear LED lamps - green and orange - Luminous Intensity 30mcd-40mcd
Button/switch - LEDs: 5x green - 3mm - 1.8V??? - soldered - I used 2,2V / 0,02A / 40mcd
2x orange - 3mm - 1,8V??? - soldered - I used 2,1V / 0,02A / 29mcd
Not micro bulb! LED lamps!!!
Bottom line - heat and age is the CULPRIT.
HELP !!! Somebody can help me ? I need the stereo wiring diagram from my 2008 Lexus RX 350. If somebody knows where can I find it or may be send me by mail to email@example.com Thank to everybody.
I decided to start a new thread due to
the other post being a bit old; so.
I have put in my aftermarket stereo and I purchased the Autoleads PC2-92-4 By-pass Harness cable and seperated the two 12v feeds (Joint yellow cables) and it worked fine, the clocks now turn off with the stereo on the turn of the key. However; when I turn my stereo back on, it has lost all of the settings I had just configured.
So my question is, what do I need to run to my stereo to enable it to keep its settings and not alter any other functions in the car i.e clock staying on etc.
Thanks for any help in advance.
