2005 400h Front Bumper poor alignment

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Just wanted to see if anyone else has had this issue with a replacement front bumper skin? A bodyshop has fitted a new bumper to my 2005 (05) 400h rx and on both sides of the car there is about a 2cm gap between the middle of the headlights and the bumper (pic below). They have said its the way Lexus must of manufactured the bumper and its either that the press that makes the bumper is out of alignment or it could be that when its been in transit its the way its been stored and/or it could heated up and warped. (mmmmmmm yeah ok)

So just wondering if anyone else has had this issue with Lexus parts or what it could be causing it?

Thanks

After reading your post I have been having a look at pictures of the RX400 front online ... have a look at them ... it looks like on others there is a trim around the bottom of the headlight similar to that which runs around the sides and top of it ... looks like its missing in your pics .. especially the second one which shows it up best.
