Both exhausts are even flow and she is whisper quiet with a mild roar when you stomp -)

Nice, I had to change both boxes to get there :-), Though keep an eye on them, especially if you notice rusty spots around the centre bottom of the back boxes, that's a sign of excess water accumulation from the exhaust gasses, most likely due to stuck and rusty flaps that sit inside the mufflers.

By the way, I'm one of those weirdos who names his cars and bikes.

The names I choose are always based on the last 3 letters of the reg number.

So, I named her "Wafty".

My better half wet herself laughing when I told her.

When I asked why, she said "Every time you start her,.....you're having a wafty crank" :w00t::yahoo:

So you have a choice, spend £100 every 10 years on a new rad or run the risk of needing a new £3,000 transmission.

I thought of both that & the need for new suspension at the back (maybe the front, I dont know) when I was after a new buy LS. part from this forum I spoke at length to 2 retailers & although they knew I was not buying from them they both gave the same opinion, based on their experience, which was get a good condition LS 400, which did as a private buy. I was of course talking about cars in the region of 12 to 15 years old +, a factor all to often forgotten when talking about the 430 & 400's.
