RC200T Sat Nav Announcements

Hi all,

After 5 weeks and 3 visits to the local Lexus Dealer, it turns out that the Sat Nav announcements on an RC200T do not auto fade the radio/CD volume.

Apparently this feature is not available on the RC's which is a little surprising, especially when this is a standard feature on all other Lexus models.

No it doesn't unfortunately. It shares its system with the IS, which obviously doesn't do it either. It been discussed on here a few times over the years. Your dealer should have known this.

It is not on recent models, supposedly in response to customer demand. People complained that the auto fade is a pain when you're trying to listen to the news etc... Which I don't disagree with.

I'm sure it is a cost saving measure spun to make out it was customer demand. If they cared they would include an option to allow the owner to choose.
