Roof box on an is300h

Recommended Posts

Has anyone fitted or known of a fitting of a roof box to the is300h?

I'm considering getting one because the boot is too small to fit what's needed for a family holiday where a child's buggy will be taken.

So if anyone has experienced this then please do let me know what you had and how the car coped with one.

Thanks in advance.

Nothing special required IMO, the Lexus (and probably most other brands) use T track fittings. I carried 3 mountaing bikes on mine, total weight around 85lbs with the carriers and suspect drag much greater than a roof box. The bars are a bit of a pain to fit due to a locating pin in the door frame but once tightened they are very secure.

Suspect you will be able to get a Thule or similar rather cheaper than a Lexus brand one

Agreed. Thule aren't cheap but a re-badged Thule is even more!
