Pairing Galaxy S7 to IS300h

Recommended Posts

Is anybody here having trouble pairing a Samsung Galaxy S7 to a 14 reg IS300h Luxury?

The car recognises the phone and generates a passkey. I then select "Lexus" on the phone, but the phone says "Cannot Pair with LEXUS. Make sure LEXUS is ready to pair".

I've turned it off and on again and changed various settings, but not having any luck.

I'm running Android 7.0

His Rex. Did you buy your car from a lexus dealer?

I had the same problem as you with my 64 plate premium. I took mine back and after a software update all has been well. One thing tho that bugged me was the lack of recognition of who sent a text. That is no name to who sent a text. The way round that was to add +44 to the phone numbers in my phone. Laborious but the only way to cure the recognition of text senders.

Good News.

I got it fixed. The problem lies with the phone. I had to wipe the Cache Partition. Here's how you do it:

Wipe cache partition

  1. Turn off the device.
  2. Press and hold the Volume Up key, Home key, and Power key at the same time.
  3. When the phone powers on, the Android System Recovery screen appears approx. 30 seconds later.
  4. Release all of the keys.
  5. Press the Volume down key to highlight "wipe cache partition."
  6. Press the Power key to select.
  7. Press the Volume down key to highlight “yes” and press thePower key to select.
  8. When the wipe cache partition is complete, “Reboot system now” is highlighted.
  9. Press the Power key to restart the device.
