IS300H Vehicle Customisation Screen Greyed Out

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Why is the vehicle customisation screen on my IS300h greyed out?  Im new to the car so I am probably asking something blatantly obvious.

I thought that I would be allowed access to the door lock settings etc.

Thanks,

Anthony.....

I think the menu option on the small dot matrix will work even in drive but only if you are at a complete stop, obviously this requires foot on the brake.

I also think that if you are in a menu screen when driving, then stop, you need to go out of that menu and then back in for it to register that you are stopped, this also happens when you try to browse the USB before its finished scanning too, you have to go out and back in to the screen for greyed out options to become available.

I also have had this problem.

However, I have the Premium Nav system.

When my IS went in for it's yearly service I asked my dealer if they could enable the

"greyed" out option.

On collection they said it was already enabled.

What you have to do is have the car in park with the engine running.

Without the engine running the Vehicle Customization is still "greyed" out.  Shown below

With the engine running. Choose SETUP

Then VEHICLE

Then Vehicle Customization will be enabled.
