Help needed removing rear door panel Mk IV LS400

Recommended Posts

I've managed to remove all screws, including the arm rest one and all clips. However, I cannot for the life of me remove the door switch unit, and it is around this area that the panel seems to be still fastened. The switch/ashtray unit does not pop up like the front door one and I've broken it trying to do so. I can see no retainer clips or screws after removing the ashtray, as with the older models. Any ideas?

The window switch panel is held in 0lace by spring clips, the tool to use is a small wall paper scraper, if you are still struggling let me know and I’ll remove one of mine to show you the clip positions.

Next to undersealing, messing about with car doors and windows is my least favourite job! Anyway, two replacement doors now on which look a whole lot better than the old ones.

Now, to find out why the passenger mirror is not folding in but otherwise works. Things you test AFTER putting everything back together.:whistling:
