1UZ in a Hilux

Hey guys, thought this would be a good place to sign up since I'm buying a Hilux with a 1UZ engine in it from a 1993 LS400. I've seen the truck quite a few times and could just sit and listen to it running all day. 

But, we've got a problem with it. We reckon the ECU has gone as we can't rev it up, just goes it to Limp mode. All the usual suspects have been checked/replaced and everything is pointing towards the ECU. So I'm on the hunt for an ECU 89661-50160 or if anyone knows of compatible ECUs that'd be great. Hopefully I'll have something useful to contribute once I get her up and running.

Hi Sam and welcome.  I can't offer much help but which ECU are you running?  The Hilux one of the LS one?

Hi, we're running the LS one but I think we might be okay. Spent Monday night emailing every breaker I could find in the UK. Managed to find one and it should be arriving today and we'll fit it on Saturday. Hopefully this is the problem and we'll be all good. We've also ordered some new capacitors from the US so when they arrive I'll get the new ones switched to hopefully avoid any future issues. 

Getting excited now.
