Question about sensors

Hi All,

I have a question, I have seen 2 IS250 SR both look to be the exact same spec one is a 2007 the other a 2008.

The 2007 has the sensors on the rear and the front bumper but the 2008 doesn't seem to have them.

But they both have sat nav and rear camera, so am I missing something?

I only know about the RX rather than the IS, but someone has mentioned in the past that for the RX, parking sensors were a dealer option, not a factory-fitted item. Maybe the IS is the same and the person who originally owned the 2007 one paid extra for that option.

They were dealer add on and not fitted from factory.

I had them fitted on the rear of my 2004 RX300 SE which didnt come with parking sensors

So they are parking sensors which don't involve rear camera?

Also does anyone know if the SR model has electric seats, the add says it has them but I though all SR's had manual seats and not electric.

Well from what I have found so far, but then again these IS 250's seem to have a million different configurations lol

I believe the SR only launched in May 2008. The 2007 vehicle was possibly a sport?

Parking sensors and rear camera are independent of each other. It will only have a reversing camera if it has the multimedia sat nav option.
