Agree they can look a little 'staid', but that is fine by me, unless I ever pimp up my paintwork.

What about stripping them and doing a mirror polish then laquer them.

I have seen Edd China do it on MR2 on wheeler dealers.

Only issue is that everyone says the laquer wont stay on.

 

Just a cheap alternative

Do you not need to protect a diamond cut surface? Plus, only so many 'cuts' you can perform, so I understand

Lacquer over diamond cut usually results in the 'worm' effect, fine lines due to moisture breaching the lacquered protecting.

The way to do it is to go onto the inter net, type in the "Wheel specialists" when it comes up it will show locations of the companies that do the job, pick the one close to your location, they will give you a price, I had mine done and they are brilliant.
