Had been ages since I properly cleaned the interior of my car, so I took full advantage of the nice weather this morning.

I done the exterior too of course. The car was detailed about a month ago and the wheels are only a few weeks old, so it comes up a treat with just a basic wash.

Love those wheels I really want some for mine. Great job on the car it looks brilliant. I was aiming to do a full detail on mine this week but didnt get a chance so maybe next week.

I like you just gave mine a quick wash and spruce up yesterday. I was never a fan of silver but I love the shine you can get on them. e1793d289a7c522693dabd9c2931048e.jpg170c7c84015cae74c0bf2ad7ae5741ea.jpgbbc0f8b13fe3b0bdf32a12f6b98b69e2.jpgef992f23c9279bccb68ff0d91896b5ca.jpg

Hi mate, you know them carpet badges you have in your car. I also have them in mine, but they’re all scratched and scuffed. I’ve searched high and low for them. I can’t get replacement ones anywhere. Do you know anywhere. Thanks, John.

No idea. I've never seen them for sale separately.

Actually, I don't think I've seen a new set of these type of floor mats for sale either. All the ones I've seen on eBay have an embroidered logo on them. Not a metal badge.

I decided to take all the grey paint off with some strong nail polish remover (the wife’s [emoji23]). Got that down to all chrome. Then in work got digital to cut me an exact replica of the Lexus logo in the centre of the badge in vinyl. Took them to my mates place to get lacquered. They look great. I’ll put some pics on later.

I think this is the type of thing that's meant. But wait for confirmation from the guys who have them.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/IS-IS250-IS350-IS220D-05-08-PRE-FACELIFT-ISF-Style-GRILLE-Gloss-Black-for-LEXUS/132106230121?fits=Car+Make%3ALexus|Cars+Year%3A2006&hash=item1ec2251969:g:ndAAAOSwMo9a2I~c

So, there will be a bit of work to refit the Lexus logo back in place. I think Newbie and Sterling put up posts on the work around for this.

Here is Sterling's post .... just found it in the How to Guides.

Just tried looking at that 'Tutorial' and like mentioned in the thread there is only a 'before' & 'after' pic! And no others?

"a bit of work to put the Lexus logo back" you say? What if you have ACC and this 'logo' is now the forward radar unit how much work then if even doable?

No idea ... still have my original grill..I'm happy with it.

An 06 vehicle would not, I think, have the radar device fitted? Its not on my 2010 vehicle either.

Just trying to offer help with a pointer or two.

I am with normski i quite like the grill as they are. I would not imagine much work involved, have a look on utube some body in usa will have done the mod.

In that case you'd better take a look as to how that all connects. Then you can make your own judgement as to how easy or not it would be to transfer across to the new type of grill.

Search eBay for the following listing number: 132106229929

I like the grill because the mesh matches the lower grill quite well - I still have the original one though.

The "L" in the grill can be removed (its actually not attached) - if you find out what connections are behind the badge on yours then consider the requirements for fitting this into the space where the "L" is

Fitting is easy and the fit is exact
