I need to transport some goods which are too big and won't allow the tailgate to shut?

Can the powered tailgate be De-actived?

What does everyone else do?

I've not yet been able to totally disable the tailgate but I can get to open and lock in 5 different positions, which vary from fully wide open to about a opening aperture of around 12inches
