Austrian road trip completed!

After 10 days, 7 countries and nearly 2,400 miles I've got it out of my system!

The GS performed superbly, and Saltzburg to Vienna showed an average of 43.5 mpg.  Most times it was 38-39. My only problem now is tackling the bugs.  Any advice would be welcome.

Your mileage eclipses my 700 mile round trip to Belgium last week.

Did you have good weather?

Cleaning off those bugs will keep you busy for a while

Yes, fantastic weather, almost too hot at times.  Vienna was 29 degrees.  A fair amount of long delays on the German motorways due to roadworks but I still took it up to 110 mph for a while.  A fab trip (insanely expensive) but good to get back to our own bed.... and our dog of course!  We were both amazed by the beauty of the Luxembourg countryside so a separate trip there may be forthcoming.

I think the German bugs were the most persistent, followed by the Swiss! I only saw a very small handful of Lexus cars which surprised me, especially given the sponsor of the Vienna opera.
