1GFE turbo vs 1JZ swap

Hey i have a 2001 lexus is 200 and im thinking of going forced induction looking towards the ball park of 350hp. Would it be better to turbo my 1gfe or swap to a 1jz turbo. Also if i swap to the 1jz turbo will the J160 gear box in my car fit on the 1jz or will i need a gearbox aswell? looking forward to the advice

It you are wanting go past 250 bhp on the 1G-FE then you need to be prepared to upgrade the internals.

You would be better off with a 1JZ/2JZ, or even a 3G-GE from an Altezza/3G-GTE from a Celica GT-Four or MR2 GT-S.

I don't believe the J160 will fit with a 1JZ. It certainly doesn't against a 2JZ.
