anybody had a cracked headlight unit?

My nearsidevheadlide is steaming up which is disabling the automatic headlight function

After researching lexus say it s an external damage so no warranty applies (1700 k)

I am not convinced as it os on top of the light a miniscule crack so does not look stone chip.... I think they try to r

Alternatively does insurance cover?

Why would a steamed headlamp affect the auto headlamp function? The sensor for that function is on the top of the dashboard?

I might be wrong, and am sure someone will correct me, but I believe they are some kind of plastic rather than glass so possible that they crack rather than chip

Do you have a picture?

I'm sure insurance will cover it, although it would be a full claim rather than part of the windscreen cover.
