"Spare" connector under front door kick plate.

Anyone know what these connectors would normally be used for.

Under each front door kick plate.

Saw that someone did a Lexus kickplate that lit up and keen to do that it possible.

Or are the connectors sound system orientated?

They're for the illuminated door sills.

Check if you get supply when door opened then not with door closed but as above pretty sure they are for illuminated scuff plates ( standard on SE-L if yours haven't got them fitted, not sure they were even an option on other models)

note, they are a stupid ridiculous price if you are thinking about retro fitting! But I'm sure I've seen some ( Chinese obviously) after market ones in different colours of LED's.

They were plug & play on my old car, but for them to light up on my current one a small mod had to be made. Easy enough though.
