Hello people my name is Damian and I've just signed up to this forum.

I really need everyone's help. 2 weeks ago I brought a lexus is220d it's been running perfect untill this morning when i went out to my car i noticed that it was not locked. Anyways i got in and without touching anything my dash was on and the car would not start. The start/stop button is constantly green i have 4 lights on the dash and nothing wants to work. The lights are: traction control, engine management, p/s, and vsc. On the dash it says check vsc. I can't lock or unlock the car. I've tried connecting my Delphi software in to it but can't get a reading from the engine. Rac came and looked and he said he has never seen anything like it. Please can someone help tell me what it can be or what to check.

Many thanks

If you cant get the codes read then my suggestion would be to disconnect the Battery for approx. 10mins then re-connect and see if the issue has resolved itself. Any chance it has been sat out in the sun for a lengthy period of time as it has been hot in some areas - possibly had an effect on throwing the car into error mode.

The other possibility could be a weak earth connection from the Battery but I guess the RAC would have checked that?

Any update on this problem?

Please don't be a "one post wonder" ie first and only post and we all wonder if you got it sorted! As anyone in future would be very grateful if they do a search with the same symptoms and you (hopefully by now) have a solution.
