IS300 (ill)fitting exhaust ...

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I've recently picked up an IS300 which is a bit rough around the edges. First on the list to sort out is the exhaust, it's positioned badly so much so that it's melting the bumper. Are there any temporary measures i could take to prevent further damage without having to shell out for a new exhaust?

Thanks

Take a look at the exhaust hangers and get some longer/stiffer units to give you more clearance and less movement.

I recently used EX01/4's on my GS from here; https://www.workshopping.co.uk/category/exhaust-mountings/2431/

cheers, i thought hangers might be the first thing to check

They aren't that awkward to check provided you can get underneath and the parts aren't expensive.

I was surprised how sturdy those hangers were, get yours measured up and compare.

Let us know how you get on.
