Will a OBD11 read read Lexus codes ?

Recommended Posts

A standard meter will check for codes but many of the codes are Toyota specific, so to understand some of the codes, you'll need a laptop with Techstream loaded. Your standard meter however is a good starting point.

I have an Autel and it does read my GS300 1999 so give it a try.

Which autel have you got? Most seem out of the price range of the average home mechanic, so would be interesting to see which one worked on an early gen 2.

Hi, I have the Autel MaxiDiag Elite MD802 and I have just bought the Maxicheck Pro which is meant to bleed the abs brakes. When it arrives I will post the results of the test.

The 802 cost £160 and the Maxicheck cost me £140, well worth it.

Cheers, good info. That is a hefty price, but probably worth it for any early gen 2 owners big into DIY.
