Faulty Rear Light

Recently I've been getting a fault showing on my rear light, so today on my lunch brake I thought I'd go out and change the bulb/check the connection.

What bright spark came up with the Idea that you have to remove the rear light cluster just to get to the bulbs!!!

At least the inside of the boot looks nice what with wall to wall carpeting. :D

I must admit, I was looking at a way to remove the 'carpet' until I read the manual. *doh*

i agree first car i have were you have to remove 6 bolts to change a bulb must be a nightmare in the dark at the side of the road .

First time a rear bulb went on mine I had to soak the bolts in wd40 for a few hours before I could shift them. I also tried numerous petrol stations and Halfords branches before I found somewhere with the right wedge bulb in stock.

Isn't it just two cross head screws to remove the rear light cluster?

I need a 10mm socket ...........after removing a clip thingy

2 plastic covers then either 10mm socket or a screwdriver will do the job.

on one side i have two philips screws :)

on the other i have one philips and one 10mm socket

must have run short at the factory!!
