New Fuel - Has anyone heard of this?

Recommended Posts

It sounds promising but it'll be years yet, if ever.

One big thing is how to get the old liquid out and what to do with it. You can't just keep pumping it in forever and it won't be burnt to make room for more, like petrol is now, so there has to be a way of getting it out of the car and then either recycling or dumping it.

I think they are just trying to keep up a positive interest on electric cars where people are coming around to the idea that it will only ever be any good if you live in a larger type house that has a garage or at least ground to park on which is off the road and until they have a system that takes a couple of minutes  for a full recharge and last for around 450 miles its a non starter for most.

Sounds good in theory, we will need to see actual financial figures behind it and the solution being introduced on road - I mean both charging stations and cars running on this tech. I don't want to sound pessimistic, but if it is just conceptualised now it will be at least 10 years until it hist the market.
