  1. Given the problems of getting under the car and spraying treatment on it I would go for professional treatment where they remove any loose rust, apply a converter then a sealing coat, all the process is guaranteed and costs around £500 or so.

I am surprised that it is rusting. What is the nature of this? Real rust is from the inside, so an injection hot wax system is needed. This is what the factory do, but if it is bad a £300-500 professional system will give a day to it and provide a guarantee.

Or if it is just bits and pieces then a rub down and Waxoil or Dinitrol would be fine.

Hi

Any advise on treating rust on the underside of my LS430.

Has anyone used a Dinitrol treatment centre, or is DIY an option?

I'm going to do my car...

It won't be perfect but it will be good enough...

Clear off mud, brush off rust, and use ( decent ) ramps. I'll do it from each end and use  Bilt Hamber Dynax UC Anti Corrosion Wax 750ml (x2) which seems to have very good reviews.

( Cannot afford £500+. I have seen much higher quotes too ).

Hi Piers

Yes £500+ seems to be a starting point for professional rust treatment of a large car.

I hadn't heard of Bilt Hamber so thanks for that, from their website they do a car underbody protection kit

2 x dynax-s50 750ml
1 x dynax-UB 750ml
1 x dynax-UC 750ml
1 x surfex HD 1L

which might be the way to go for me.

Done.

It worked really well, went on easily and looks good.

The aerosol works at all angles to.
