Yes, that's correct, hence the term "low profile". Journalists commonly use the term "section" to describe a tyre's width.

Yes from factory.

Won't do any harm having the same diameter on both axles as the 3rd gen is on 225/40 r18 and 255/35 r18

Indeed, that is because it is considered "safer" when car understeers instead of owersteering. Except of that there is no real reason to do it, last 2 times I have replaced tires on IS250 both times fronts were totally bald (~2mm) and rears still had 3.5mm of thread left. IS250AWD has squared set-up as well.
