Temperamental Horn

I have discovered that the horn on my MK 4 does not work every time. The connections

at the horn end look OK. Any thoughts before I go to my Indie for investigation ?

You could check with your Doctor too Anthony, you may have lazy hearing syndrome ?

My wife is adamant that I have it.  :):):)

Thought you were talking about a different type of horn for a minute.

There have been cases of the horn wire rivet connection becoming loose on the steering wheel, the airbag needs to be removed to gain access.

Thanks all for your thoughts. Funnily enough John I went for a hearing test last week

because Madam said I was deaf. Appears my hearing is top notch. Maybe it is the selective

hearing she is moaning about.   Steve, I think the airbag route is too much for me so I shall

go to my indie if I can't fix it myself following the other suggestions.

Thats me you're talking about.  Does that make me famous....at last!!!      Yeh,    I can't even remember the 30 second test but it worked for me. The top cover comes off (screws underneath the cowl) and attach a short length of wire to any convenient nut or bolt from the column to the bodywork
