Sat nav won't forget it's destination - how to fix?

Hi All, New LC 500h owner, just taken delivery last week of a 2017 model. Was told by the garage that the sat nav doesn't forget the destination and when you arrive at your chosen destination it won't turn off, and the only way to stop the woman from speaking is to delete the destination. That's exactly what the nav did the first time I tried it. Nuisance. Is there a fix for this, and can it be downloaded as a firmware update that I can do myself? Any help appreciated

If you select "pause guidance" from the menu, the sat nav woman stops talking, however if you switch the car off and back on, she starts giving the same directions again. It seems that the only way to stop this is to delete the destination entirely.  We bought the car from Lexus Newcastle and they are aware that this is an issue as it was them that told us, but also offered no solution.
