I have been sent details of a GS300 which may be of interest but - checking the MOT history there are two advisories on the most recent MOT which I need to check were sorted.

Just in case they were not I wonder if anyone here may be able to throw some light on them.

Its a 2005 GS300 and the advisories stated

  • All sidelights pulsating
  • low tyre pressure warning light on

According to Google searches quite a few owners reported the flickering lights problem a few years ago - but I cannot find any references to a solution.

Has anyone any knowledge of this, and can anyone throw any light on the low pressure warning permanently displaying.

The most likely cause of flickering lights is an alternator problem.
As far as the low tyre warning light goes this could be as simple as the pressures not set or a problem with one of the wheel sensors. This should not have been an advisory on the MOT as tyre monitoring systems were not part of the MOT until 2014 so were completely outside of the scope of the test.
