A pleasantly nice Top Gear review of the UX 250h. Nice to read as a Lexus sales exec. We are very excited about this car!

I'm sure it's great under the skin but to me it just looks like a Nissan Juke and all the others.

I see they have managed to include the classic motoring media cliche of a CVT possessing a "whine", and CT's "early whining".  Ho-hum, plus ça change...

I'm not a SUV fan, but I do like this UX, very interested to finally see it in the metal. Perhaps I'm just giving it a easier ride, being a Lexus! 😉

For me, it's a shame there'll be just the single drivetrain available in the UK.

Lexus Blog item is here.

I am afraid you couldn't be further from the truth! This is a very different vehicle from the Nissan Juke! It's a Lexus afterall. The Toyota CH-R is the Nissan Juke's competitor along with all the other non-prestige brands.

I realise it'll be nothing like a Nissan Juke to drive or in its build, and of course I'd happily drive one.  All I meant was it looks a lot like every other vehicle of its type.  It wasn't a criticism, just my personal thought.

Distinctly underwhelming review appeared today on Honest John.

In a bit of a Groundhog Day moment (see my previous post on this thread), I see they have managed to include the classic motoring media cliche of a CVT possessing a "loud, droning noise when you accelerate", and "too many scratchy plastics".  Ho-hum, plus ça change... 🤦‍♂️

And yet another Lexus review on HJ that has the appropriate footer of:

Top Gear about as exciting as watching stainless steel rot.

Scrap it and start with a clean sheet of paper. Everything has its sell-by date and TG is way past its, of course, that doesn't apply to Lexus cars especially LS400/+
