Connor: did you go with the stock spring rates offered by BC? Did they come with rubber hats on them, or do you re-use the existing ones?
I went with the rates they had, which I believe was 12kg front 8kg rear, or the other way round I cannot remember which

Sorry, probably me being silly, I am not sure what you're asking?  Whether I would go for OEM air struts, or fully adjustable coilovers?
If the air struts were to fail, would replace like for like or adjustable coilovers?

(Might I add there are kits for fully adjustable air ride, that's what I'm currently building. A company makes air springs that are a direct placement for bc coilovers springs, just am using my own management system)

I would definitely get air struts... I wouldnt go for coilovers.  The air suspension is beautiful.... I wouldnt want to be without it, as for me, it's a big characteristic of the car that I would not want to be without.

I would definitely consider after market air struts too :)

Thats fair enough, I just know alot of people go for whatever the car came with on the factory, no matter the cost and even if there are massive upgrades available for the same price. I once heard a story of a customer who insisted on having an oem catalytic converter for his fiat punto at £600 rather than an £80 replacement!

It could also be an indicator of a control arm issue.

Here is an example of a functioning compressor and air strut, which due to the control arm being dislocated had sagged.

After repairing and positioning, it returned to normal levels.

There's people paying money to lower and stance their cars, and Lexus owners are getting it done for free by dislocating the control arm.
