Rx400h Dip beam headlamps too low?

Recommended Posts

On my rx400h, I feel that the dipped beam alignment is a little low.  I tried to check the self-levelling controller on the rear suspension, but couldn't find it.

Can somebody please give me a clue about where exactly it is? A diagram may help, if you have one easy to hand.

When the headlights are turned on, they do their little dance and then settle down, but a little low, I feel.

Look behind the right hand rear wheel or even take it off to have a better look. It connects to the rear stabilizer bar.

Thanks, I'll have a look at it sometime.

What is the process of calibration of the beam height? Do I need access to a beam alignment machine (like in an mot test)? Is there an adjuster built in to the unit?

There's a threaded rod with a nut which take care of the adjustment. Pictures can be found in this thread: https://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/topic/86415-afs-sensor-replacementrepair/

Not sure about the calibration process, you'd have to check the Lexus workshop manual for that. Although I'm sure this can be found somewhere on this forum as well.
