Is300 sportcross windscreen washers dribbling

Recommended Posts

Evening all

very week flow from the windscreen washers. Barely makes it over the wipers.  So presume some flow means the pump is working and the washers are blocked. ...? They look visibly clear externally so blocked internally? Which means removal (sigh) correct?

Howdo do they come off?

You can prise them off with a credit card, so no need to remove all the bonnet lining. I say 'prise', you have to push against a clip and they pop out (I think on the rear edge). Just don't loose the end of the hose!

Give the jets a bit of a rummage with a cocktail stick and they might be restored. Is the water hard round your way? If so, may be a few house soaking in vinegar.

Do you have the type that are three jest on one, or the later fine spray type?

I used to use a 12v tyre inflator with the attachment for blowing up balls. Just attach that and turn it on and be amazed at the muck that flies out. You can usually find a break in the tubing to tap into. Good luck

Thanks guys

they are the fan type. One slot in the front....

....although, from memory sitting in the car, they didn’t look so open as I recall. I am wondering if an insert has fallen out of the nozzle. Is that possible?

see if can post a pic

I've been having the same issue. Is the pump easy to get to?
