Do Not Sell My Personal Information Jump to content

I've bought a Bluetooth OBD dongle, and installed the Torque app on my android phone.

Other than the immediate benefits, such as checking for fault codes (I have none!), I also hope to decode the PID information provided by the interface so I can check on hybrid Battery health and so on.

I'm having trouble finding a list of the codes for the RX400h. I have a spreadsheet I downloaded from PriusChat (which was the result of a long topic on there regarding the RX400h), but some of the values being displayed on the Torque app don't make a lot of sense, eg: Battery voltage -2800v.

Has anyone got access to this information?

It's not the DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) I need, but the PID information. For example, PID 21C3, header 7E2 includes things like "MG1 inverter temperature" using the equation "U-50".

While I'm not that bothered by the MG1 inverter temperature (at the moment), these codes can also provide information about the state of the hybrid Battery and other components of the car.

If I understand correctly, a "sick" Battery is one where one or more blocks are measurably weaker than the others. I think this screenshot shows that is alright.

I know it's only a snapshot... When hybrid Battery was quite low on charge, but I'm going to monitor it occasionally just to see how it is at different states of charge.

I took a look at Torque on my car but couldn't find anything useful.

After more searching i took the plunge with the 'Hybrid Assistant' app and a quicker OBD dongle. It's loaded with features and well worth a try.

Which dongle did you buy?
