New user Looking for info on rx400 and gs450h

Hi, im looking for used hybrid lexus, right now i’ve found some RX400h with 198.000km (118000miles) from 2005 and 2006.

are this lexus a good buy? Maybe with this age the bateries should be replaced, do i need to be worried with any other extepensive parts failling?

Should i be worried for the high mileage?

this Will be my first lexus and is manly For everyday use

the  lexus i’m looking have all 1 previous owner and lexus checkbook.

Hi Mauro.  What country are you from?  The hybrid batteries rarely fail on these cars certainly in the UK and most of europe anyway.  They have a higher failure rate in places like the USA where they have more extreme weather i.e. extremely hot or cold but even there the failure rate is still low.

When you take the car for a test drive try driving the car very slowly keeping the needle in the zero zone on the power meter to drain the Battery then drive it faster to see if it charges up again which may take a few km's.  Make sure that all electrical items including the heater are turned off if possible as these can cause the engine to run more.  You can see the Battery charge on the display in the middle of the dashboard.  Press the Display button then Trip Info or whatever they may be in your local language.

Mileage is not an issue for these cars just check for bad rust underneath caused by age and salt on the roads if you get snow and ice where you live.
